Why Now?
With fewer and fewer earned media opportunities, journalists are becoming extremely selective about which press trips they accept because they know how hard it will be to find coverage.
As a result, some trips are postponed or forced to run half-full, and many press trips are cancelled altogether. Some in the travel industry have been forced to pay writers thousands of dollars to join their trips (Cassandra Brooklyn can speak to a recent offer she received for $2500 to join a trip).
Many travel writers are already booked out through the end of the year, yet many destinations are still struggling to fill spring and summer press trips.
This workshop will help you plan ahead to confirm travel writers on Q3 and Q4 trips, and teach you how to entice journalists to join last-minute trips.
